Soundcheck - Calling Utopia - The Hero Vs The Villain

   Australia's Calling Utopia has returned with their new single "The Hero VS The Villain". The track places heavy emphasis on the guitar and chorus to create an addictive and memorable track. The drum and bass lines are all effectively placed and are put on center stage for a brief moment during a breakdown in the song. It's small moments like these that keep the track from falling into a repetitive pattern. The vocals and lyrics have a pop / punk feel to them. It all mixes together well and definitely deserves a spot on your playlist. Give the new track a listen and be sure to give Calling Utopia a like on Facebook.

Soundcheck - New Material From Hearts Under Fire

Hearts Under Fire has released a home made video of themselves performing a new song titled "Knots". The song has some great harmonies and seems to be another great addition to the HUF catalog. Soundcheck - My Remorse Code

   Need some new music? Check out Midwest Meltdown by My Remorse Code. You can listen to the album and download it for free below. Feel free to throw them a tip if you like their early efforts. My Remorse code hails from Chicago and cites Paramore, Underoath, and We Are The In Crowd as some of their influences. I spoke with guitarist Megan Horvath and she promised much higher production values for their next release. This is only a taste of what is to come, hence the free price tag. Soundcheck - Rebekkah Joy

Check out the new single by Rebekkah Joy that is available for free download. Rebekkah is the vocalist from the band One31 and is now embarking on a solo career. "We All Try" is a slow but powerful track that shows a lot of promise.
