Underground Legends - Emily Whitehurst

Some artists never fully get the recognition they deserve despite their body of work. Those that have followed Emily Whitehurst's career know the amazing accomplishments she has made and the bands she has fronted along the way. If you haven't yet been introduced, there's no better time than the present.

1998-2005

Tsunami Bomb was a punk rock band that formed in Petaluma, California and was active until 2005. Whitehurst joined Tsunami Bomb in 1998, filling in the spot made when vocalist Kristin McRory left. She went under the moniker of Agent M while in the band.

The band dealt with several line up changes, internal issues, and ultimately cited problems with the business end of the music industry as the reason for the their dismantling. The band released two full length albums: The Definitive Act (2004), and The Ultimate Escape (2002), as well as several EPs. Two of their more notable songs were "Take The Reins" and "Dawn On A Funeral Day".  (Article continues below videos.)
